The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will successfully provide general nursing care to residents in by performing the following duties.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties/Responsibilities
Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation and allay apprehension
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident
Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies supervisor or physician of resident's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents
Licensed Practical Nurse aches temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess the condition of resident
Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol
Documents nursing history and physical assessment for residents
Participates in development and implementation of Resident Service Plans
Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) helps caregivers to understand and implement areas of Resident Service Plans appropriate for their stations
Completes Incident/Accident Reports as needed
Communicates with on-call night nurse about any Resident health-related issues that occur during 7pm to 7am shift
If on-call: respond to emergency calls; assess situation; call ambulance immediately (if deemed appropriate); proceed to building immediately; copy appropriate resident paperwork for emergency responders; record all notes in resident files; complete Incident/Accident Report. If ambulance is not deemed appropriate for the situation: proceed to building immediately; perform necessary nursing tasks required by the resident's situation; record all notes in resident files; complete Incident/Accident Report.
Communicates continuously with managers regarding Resident health and well-being
Licensed Prctical Nurse (LPN) reviews and signs Service Plans
Assist with activities as needed- Assist with laundry as needed- Assist residents with all activities of daily living including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, ambulating, transferring, etc. - Other duties as assigned

Minimum Age, Education and Experience Requirements
Must be 21 years or older and have:
Completed all higher education coursework for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Must have valid nursing credentials
License:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
